Are you passionate about sharing your financial thoughts and experiences, the wins, the lessons, or even the total disasters? Whether you post on Instagram, write long-form blog content, run a YouTube channel, or just have a great story to tell, Where Does My Money Go? is looking for you.

We’re building a platform that highlights real, relatable financial stories. If you’ve got insights, experiences, or tips to share let’s get your voice out there.

Ultimately, good judgment comes from experience, experience comes from bad judgment. Let’s help each other by sharing knowledge, experiences, and different points of view.

What We’re Looking For

We want stories that start with you! Your experiences, your challenges, your insights, and zoom out to connect with the bigger picture. Everyday life is full of moments that reflect broader economic realities, and those are the stories we love most.

Can you connect your personal money choices, challenges, or changes to what’s happening in the world? We’re not just interested in numbers; we’re interested in meaning.

Here are some story ideas to inspire you:

  • “What my side hustle income says about the economy and why I’m scared to get sick.” What started as additional money is now relied upon, am I working myself into an early grave trying to keep up wth everyone else?
  • “My student debt makes me realise how little the government are willing to invest in me.” I did my degree to earn more money but feel unsupported by the government. My higher wages mean I will contribute more in taxes but I am financially shafted by the debt.
  • “Buying a house as a single person in my 30s: possible, but barely.” A homeownership story that highlights housing affordability and generational oppertunity gaps.
  • “We stopped going out to eat and saved $400/month. But what does that mean for small businesses?” A simple family budgeting decision with ripple effects on the local economy.
